Sidcup Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra, founded in 1961,  and promotes regular concerts of classical music in the London Borough of Bexley and elsewhere.

The SSO has toured Holland, Germany and performed at many locations around the UK.

The repertoire of the orchestra is wide ranging - from Bach to Stravinsky. Prominent soloists to have performed with the orchestra include John Lill, Jack Brymer, Felicity Lott, Alan Civil and Julian Lloyd Weber. Several section principals from the orchestra have also performed concertos. It is the policy of the orchestra to encourage young musicians and provide a showcase for their talent.
