David Grubb David Grubb read music at Cambridge, studied conducting at Trinity College of Music and has become one of South East London's best known musicians and conductors. A cello player and teacher, he is now coming to the end of his fifth year as Director of Music at Blackheath High School. David conducted Eynsford Concert Band from 1990 to 1993, including a tour of Austria and several concerts at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and was an orchestral and choral conductor at Bexley Music Centre from 1992 until 2000. He has also conducted many musicals in the area, at theatres such as the Churchill in Bromley, the Ashcroft in Croydon and the Assembly Hall in Tunbridge Wells. David has played regularly for the Sidcup Symphony Orchestra over the last ten years, usually as principal cello. |
